Komen Race for the Cure 2009

Our annual breast cancer walk in Virginia Beach was again a dreary day for the second year in a row! Walking for 5 years now and taking our traditional trip to Cheesecake Factory for lunch afterwards!

an end and a beginning....

after blogging yesterday, i found out my cousin Ashley is expecting! CONGRATS to her and the entire family...Carson certainly is getting some little ones to play with...Kaylee, Cooper(in March) and Baby Penick later next summer!

Life is precious...

Today I got a call from a good friend of mine. She was a few months pregnant but went in for a check up today and they could not find the baby's heartbeat. Sadly she miscarried and she is in my thoughts today. It took my breath away just to hear those words I can not imagine how her and her family must be feeling right now. To go from such a high finding out you are pregnant to going to such a low. Life is precious and sometimes we have to get just that realty check. I hope she finds the strength to get through this difficult time. I want to be pregnant so badly and I complain about how everyone but me seems to get pregnant. Today I will let it all go...ultimately it is all in Gods hands...so when he is ready I will be ready. Things can change in a blink and I am so thankful for all the blessings I have...and hopefully the ones to come!

1. Where is your cell phone? side pocket of my purse...I am pretty diligent about this because if not it will get lost in the black hole I call my purse!
2.Your hair? unwashed...don't judge that's how i roll on the weekends

15. Muffins? banana nut..which Brian thinks is totally ridiculous considering I want to vomit at the sight or smell of a banana...but love banana flavored things...its a texture thing...our child will also not like bananas for the pure reason I would be ill if I had to watch that getting everywhere
16. Wish list item? less debt....for my face to stop breaking out like a teenager...

21. Your pets? i had a dog...for a week...stressed me out too much...the fish lasted a little longer but gone now....and well i was going to adopt a turtle at one point but I decided I was not ready for that kind of responsibility

This past weekend I was sitting out in the car with Carson because he was asleep waiting for Mom to come out of Kohl's...I hear call #9 and dial Eagle 97 having no idea what I am trying to win! Turns out I was caller #9 and I won two tickets to Zac Brown Band and two movie tickets!
Brian and I are thrilled because we had kinda wanted to go but agreed we would go to either this or a comedy show later this month! So for the same price we get to go to both!

Also, I finally sat down and really thought about some suggestions for Jeff and Dana's baby name! Looks like I may have picked a winner - right now my suggestion is in the lead....

What a great Friday!

So they started flex scheduling at work...I work an extra hour a day and get every other Friday off...I love it...only thing better would be every Friday...or every day for that matter! But I will take what I can get...so here's how I spend my Friday morning!

First, had someone from Craig's List come pick up something I was no longer in need of for $25...You know me first thought...lets go shopping so I had a few places to go...

BabiesRus - got a few baby toys to save for Christmas on clearance with coupons - original price 14.99 each - after clearance and coupon 2.53 each

Best Buy - I bought my wonderful husband a video game for our anniversary I know real romantic huh! I got home realized I had a coupon so I went back today and got a $10.50 refund

Target - Target send me a $20 gift card for opening a registry - I had Dana go online and set one up for my future nephew and BAM $20 free money to go towards Baby Teagle

Chickfila - Had a expired coupon for Free Large Soda with sandwich purchase (they generally take all expired coupons)

Victoria Secret - Coupon from the mail for free pair of panties
